Dir en Grey Tour 08 “The Rose Trims Again”

Last week, I was able to finished watching the latest Dir en Grey Live DVD “The Rose Trims Again”. Dir en Grey’s fan should definitely watch it, so be sure to do so:).

I think Kyo has matured in the way he sings, he can still deliver his best voice untill the end. In the past, I can see it clearly when he grew tired toward the end. Nice Kyo!

My favorite part is Number 15 “Lie Buried With a Vengeance” and 23 “Gaika, Chinmoku ga Nemuru Koro”.

Tour 08 The Rose Trims Again is a live DVD released by Dir en grey on April 28, 2009. The feature show was recorded on October 18, 2008 at Shinkiba Studio Coast in Tokyo, Japan, with bonus footage recorded at the band’s December 29th show of the same year at Osakajo Hall in Osaka, Japan.

Promotion for Tour 08 The Rose Trims Again began in winter of 2009. Promotional images and videos were released throughout the campaign via the Japanese iTunes Music Store, Barks.jp and the official homepage of Dir en grey.

The standard release of the DVD features only the Tokyo show, while a limited edition features the main disc as well as a second DVD featuring a selection of songs from the Osaka performance, the band’s first performance at the famous venue in ten years, and documentary footage chronicling tour preparation. The final disc of the limited edition is an audio CD, which samples various tracks from the main disc, as well as additional songs from the Osaka concert.

A slight metal-core sound is coming from the song. Not much, but it is definitely there. A friend of mine, who is a big Gackt fan said that she doesn’t like this song of Gackt, which is very strange coming from her. It doesn’t really matter, since I like it a lot. It’s not like any other song of Gackt and I encourage you to hear it^^!

I’m Back and So are They….

It’s been a while guys. when I checked the last time, this kaorublade’s weblog just got to more than 10.000 views. Thanks for visiting my website through all the time that I was absent. Your attention is something that keeps me going.

I’m still working on my thesis, maybe for another two months, it’s still going to be my number one priority.

Many things have happened in Japanese entertainment industry, including the most phenomenal one , that is X-Japan is back in business.

There is another story, such as the returns of Kago Ai, Goto Maki, Fujimoto Miki. I’m really happy that they are able to overcome many things, that I’m sure had changed them mentally and professionally.

Kago Ai just made an interview in a japanese site, ohmynews.co.jp. She talks about her smoking habit, her boyfriend, and her suicide attempt after the incident. I really admire her bravery to come forward and told us about these. It’s another side of Kago Ai we have never seen in Hello! Project or Morning Musume.

About the past scandal of Kago Ai. She is smoking?? She had a boyfriend?? so what…I never really care about it. I really like Kago Ai, her personality is really interesting and her scandal doesn’t change my opinion about her, she is still a great girl. I will support her and I hope many fans will support her too.

Another one is Goto Maki, she is definitely a talent and undeniably a great idol. She got all the looks and her voice is one of the best in Japan. Just a while ago, she closed her contract with Hello! Project or what the agency said a “graduation”.

It’s a shocking news, the first time I heard it, I thought that I haven’t seen the best of Goto Maki yet and it’s such a waste to end it this way. But, recently she reported on her blog about her activity in Los Angeles, USA and it seems that she is preparing for her come back. There is some rumor that Gomaki is now singing for the AVEX company, a company for singer likes Ayumi Hamasaki, YUI, and Otsuka Ai. If it’s true than we can hope for some quality music coming out from them. Whatever company she is in, I hope she can sings in a much better form than before.

Last from the world of Hello! Project is Fujimoto Miki. The record holder for the shortest leader of Morning Musume. Until now her unique voice is one that I considered to be the best in Hello! Project, so when she decided to quit morning musume, it’s been in my thought, what would become of morning musume. Well, there has been a low sales in their latest single Mikan. But, that is another story.

Mikitty(Fujimoto’s nick name) has her new single “Oki Tegami” just waiting to be released and she just recently played in a stage play titled “Hakana“. She is currently rebuilding everybody’s trust, especially her fans. Ganbare Mikitty!!

X-Japan – I.V.(PV)

Finally here, the latest PV of X-Japan – I.V.

The PV marks the first step of X-Japan to go International. The song also got an instant no. 1 on iTunes daily chart and X- Japan is the first Asian artist to chart high worldwide on iTunes rock pages and Billboard music site.

To add to that, the tickets for X-Japan comeback tour on March 28th, 30th, 2008 in tokyo dome has sold out through Yoshiki Mobile before going officialy on sale.

It seems that this comeback is going to bring a lot of success to them. X-Japan is truly alive again.

SID – Namida no Ondo

Finally my curiosity is paid. After more than a week downloading a PV of this band called SID. I have listened to it and SID has shocked me more than any other VK Band.

This song called ‘Namida no Ondo’ is a song I wouldn’t expect to come from a Visual Kei Band. It’s a pop sweet song with a slight bit of Jazz sound in it. In an instant I decided to search for the single and It shocked me more, the song in the second track is very different from the title track, it’s like a world apart(not from the quality, but the music genre:p).

I dare to say that this band called SID is very brave and I appreciate a band who dare to explore their music far than anyone would imagine. The result is a fresh music and full of color.

I like to share this with you who haven’t heard it before.

Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de – Miyavi feat. Sugizo

 

Hi no Hikari sae Todokanai Kono Basho de” (陽の光さえ届かないこの場所で In This Place Where Even The Sun’s Light Doesn’t Reach) is an upcoming single by Miyavi on January 16, 2008. The title track features miyavi’s fellow in “Skin”, Sugizo.

This one here is from the regular edition, because the limited one is without the instrumental part. Although it gives a music video and making of footage.

I am not a big fan of Miyavi, I don’t really like him too back then. But hearing this single made me think the other way. It’s terrific!!! It’s hard to think that someone this young could be so talented.

The first time I decided to hear this single is because of Sugizo is in the song and Sugizo is a really big part in the title track. The sound of the guitar, the crazy whammy playing and the long sustain are definitely that of Sugizo.

This single is great. I like it very much! Or should I say that I really love it^^!! This single is a must have!!

Girugamesh – Vermillion(PV)

Seeing that Girugamesh gets a lot of responses in my blog, I decided to upload the Vermillion PV. The song is from the latest album from them. I like the color and the way the camera moved, it just got every member good side. Anyway, they just looks like a young Dir en Grey^^. Although the music is far from Dir en Grey Music.

Girugamesh just sound different from another Visual Kei Band and they are my favorite right now beside SID and Merry. I wish that they are going to have a nice future ahead of them!!:-)

Luna Sea “God Bless You ~One Night Dejavu~” Concert

Just watched the reunion concert of Luna Sea. Oh god, it made me so emotional and not almost, but I’m definitely crying. I can’t say how happy I am.

Finally, after the long 7 years. It’s like a dream come true, seeing Luna Sea together in a concert once again.

the concert was aired by NHK and someone is nice enough to share it in torrent. I tried to download it but I stopped, knowing that download it with my internet connection is like stopping my dream from coming true lol. But I’m not giving up yet, I contacted my friend via yahoo messenger and asked him to download it for me knowing that his connection is fast like hell^^.

He downloaded it and he brought it to my house(what a nice guy…^^. ) and I finally I get to watched it.

The concert last for 1 hour and 58 minutes, if I’m not mistaken. Luna sea played all of their legendary song and sadly, there is no new songT_T.

But, not all the song is shown in the live version of NHK, so the concert might last longer than what I have watched, maybe in the DVD later.

I want to review all of the aspect in the concert. But I never have enough time and there is many college assignment waiting for me, so I’m just going to review the best aspect that I have seen in the concert.

First best thing is The opening of the concert. The songs are Loveless and Dejavu. Loveless seems calm but at the same is preparing you for the ‘true’ opening, the “Bang!!” begins with Dejavu, the smoke, the lightning and the best part is Ryuuichi’s scream at the beginning of the song. It really gets the Tokyo dome shakes in the spectator’s scream.

Second best thing is when the band moving to center of the Tokyo Dome and singing Breathe in Acoustic.

It’s like seeing them walking their path of glory for many years. It’s just the feeling I get when I see this. It’s also the first time I have seen Luna Sea performed in an ‘acoustic’ kind of way. Its going to be memorable in my heart.

Moving on, Rosier part is definitely the best. Especially the part where J sing his poetry and throwing the mic far behind him, It’s what you called ‘Gakkoii’^^!

Moving on again until the last part of the concert, where Precious… played and exactly at the part where all the members gathered in the center of the stage. Really nice!

At least, the most sad part is when it’s coming down to the last song ‘Wish‘. This moment at the first time I watched it, I cried…and I mean that I’m really cried like I was crying my heart out. When the people starts to scream “I Wishhhh!!!!” at the beginning of the song, I just couldn’t hold it. A happy feeling to be able to hear luna sea again and the feeling that the concert is over were mixing in my heart.

I hope this reunion didn’t end in this concert. Because many fans like myself are expecting something new from them. Maybe a single or two:p, a whole album will be the best.

Although maybe it will be hard for a full come back, because everybody in Luna Sea is busy like hell. But, I hope they will reconsider it for their fans who loves them.

All my love for Luna Sea. Thanks for many beautiful moments you shared with us and many beautiful moments yet to come, We always hope in our heart!!

I haven’t heard all of it myself. Been kinda busy with college assignment. Only hear about half of it and it’s satisfying, I can say that this is a nice album.
